  This was probably my least favorite meal in all of the ones I had throughout my 9-day stay in London.
  
  My friends and I had just finished taking some touristy shots of the Tower Bridge, and we were looking for a dinner place that was close to our hotel. Yelp told us about the George, which had really great reviews. Plus they had Sunday Roast, which was something I wanted to try while I was in the UK, so we decided to venture on over. There wasn't a wait for our group of 4 on a Sunday at around 7.
  
  I ordered (as might have already guessed) the Sunday Roast. The meat was dry and chewy. My friend ordered the same thing, but well done - so I can only imagine the workout that her jaw had. My other two friends ordered something else, I can't remember what - but they were drenched in the same gravy as the Sunday Roast, so everything ended up tasting the same.
  
  The atmosphere seemed to have that authentic pub experience - old with some charm. Unfortunately, the food was just old, without any charm.

  I work in the area and this is my favourite after work pub. Great selection of craft beer, ales, wine and spirits. Good food as well and all in a beautiful building with a really nice courtyard garden within a stones throw of London Bridge station. The one downside is it gets pretty busy in the evenings so make sure you get there early if you want a seat.

  Nice old pub with huge outdoor yard filled with tables & benches but very crowded in the early evening. Had to queue 20 minutes for a drink on arrival and a couple of pushy people twice managed to force their way in when I stood back to let someone use the only visible card terminal on the bar. Chips were lovely though, crisp on the outside but soft & moist inside. Would go there again although it does attract a loud & pushy City clientele.
